Event Write-Up’s

 

What is an Event Write-up?

            An Event Write-up is a series of questions a player will answer after the end of every event. Event Write-ups are for Plot and others to gather information and to improve things for the PCs and NPCs and to improve the game overall.

            An event write-up is a chance to tell plot what you did, and what you though about the previous event. When a player sends in an event write-up it give plot a more accurate picture of what happened at the event as a whole. We do this because sometimes that's the only way that you'll find out what some of the more sneaky/shy people have been up to.

 

What you get for the write-up

            For taking the time in working on the write-up you'll get a small reward. The reward is (Level) x2 in XP, as a bonus in extra free XP, attributed to the character for the next event, not the current one. So the example would be that 1st level Guy Fighter on his first event turns in 5 silver, giving him 30 XP, which turns into three build. He turns in a write-up, and starts the next event with 28 CP and 2 free XP. Or, Bob the Powerful with 100 CP (level 8) turns in 50 silver. He gets a blanket of 150 XP, which becomes 1 CP and 65 free XP. He turns in a write-up, and gets 16 XP for it. He starts the next event with 101 CP and 81 free XP.

 

The Questions

            Below is a list of questions to be answered when filling out the write-up. You can be as detailed as you like when answering the questions. You also are not required to answer every question, but it helps if you do. Also you can add any thoughts that aren't covered by the questions below.

 

Question For NPCs/PCs:

                                                            •  What was the best/most enjoyable part of the event?

                                                            •  What plotlines were you involved with?

                                                            •  What would you like to see at the next event?

                                                            •  Are you going to be at the next event?

                                                            •  Any other comments for plot/staff?

 

PC Only Questions:

                                                            •  Which NPCs did you enjoy interacting with?

                                                            •  Did you go on any modules, or NPC modules?

                                                            •  What plotlines or NPCs would you like to see more of?

                                                            •  Do you have any in-game comments, rumors, stories, or quotes that you character might be heard saying?

                                                            •  Are there any goals that you need to finish?

                                                            •  What have you done to complete your goals?

                                                            •  Does your character have any plans or goals for the next event?

 

NPC Only Questions:

                                                            •  Which PCs did you enjoy interacting with?

                                                            •  Did you play anything that really stood out in your mind?

                                                            •  Was there a character you NPCed you'd like to play again? If so, any ideas for bringing out this character again?

                                                            •  What was your favorate role?

                                                            •  What was your longest role?

 

Deadlines & Delivery

            Event Write-ups are due one week after the end of the event. To send in the Event Write-ups you can either e-mail them to Event Write-ups, OR snail mail them to:

•  Be sure to include the name of the character you wish the XP to go to even if you NPC'd.

•  Make sure that the write-up is post marked no latter then 1 week after the end of the event.

•  About 9 days after the event an e-mail will be sent to the mailing list, with the names of all the people who sent in the write-ups via e-mail.

 

Disclaimer:

            Do not expect the Event Write-ups to be only read by members of the Plot Committee. There is a very good chance that these write-ups will be read by members of Staff as well. Also event write-ups are used as a guideline for aiding and planning events and plots in the future. They are not a guarantee that plots will occur if you request them.
