All DragonCrest Players and Staff,
We are updating current rewards and introducing new rewards for event attendance and new player recruitment for this upcoming season.
Event Write-Ups:
We are changing the reward for an Event Write Up from Level X2 in XP to a ¼ Blanket with no Reset. We hope this will help keep the reward relevant to all players across the wide level range. This will help us better track and accurately record these rewards for players. This will be applied to the character you played at the Event.
For example: A level 1 character would have received 2 XP under the old system and will now receive 6 XP under the new system. A level 10 character would have received 20 XP under the old system and will now receive between 29 XP and 31 XP under the new system.
Please Note: We reserve the right to refuse poorly done or incomplete Event Write-Ups.
Yearly Attendance:
We are instituting a new reward for players that attend multiple events in a year. This reward is to help encourage players to attend more events, enabling us to better plan and complete plotlines. Only Weekend Events in the player’s home Chapter will count for this bonus.
To qualify for this bonus, a player must attend 3 Weekend Events in his home Chapter during the calendar year. At the end of the calendar year, the character that player played the most will receive a 1 Blanket with Reset. For every additional Weekend Event, we will add ½ Blanket to the total Blanket for that Reset. And finally, if you attend at least 3 Weekend Events, and complete event write ups for each event you attend, including those beyond the initial 3 events, you will get and additional 1.5 Blanket added to that total.
This has a possibility of adding up to a 4 Blanket event to your character.
For example: If a current active player attends all 6 Weekend Events this year, and completes Event Write-Ups for each event, that player would get 4 Blankets on a single Reset at the end of the year.
If a player came to only 4 Weekend Events and did all 4 Event Write-Ups they would receive 3 Blankets on a single Reset at the end of the year.
Please Note: NPCing does not qualify you for this bonus. We will be adding a new incentive for NPCs in a separate notice.
New Player Starting Characters:
We are instituting an initiative for this year. New players may start their first character at 35 CP in 2009. In addition, that character may be rewritten until 45 CP. All other rewrite rules apply.
New Player Recruitment Bonus:
We are instituting a new reward for players who bring new players (defined as those who have never attended a DragonCrest Event or have not played in over 5 years) to DragonCrest. Anyone who brings a new player, and that new player attends at least 3 Weekend Events in their first calendar year, will receive a ½ Blanket with a Reset. In addition, the recruiting player will receive another ½ Blanket for each 3 Weekend Events that new player attends during the new player’s first calendar year. You can gain this bonus for up to 4 new players, for their first year of play. This will be applied to the character you attended the most events on.
This has the possibility of adding up to a 4 Blanket event to your character.
For example: If you bring one new player, and they play for 3 Weekend Events, the first at the new player price, and 2 Weekend events. You get a ½ Blanket with a Reset at the end of the year.
Player Loyalty Bonus:
As a one time bonus, we are awarding CP (Character Points) to players who have attended DragonCrest events since the conversion to the Red Book. This bonus will be applied based on the data in our database.
You may choose which character to apply this bonus to. All normal rules for using this CP apply including training.
Character Level 1-10
# of Events 24+=10 CP
# of Events 16+=8 CP
# of Events 5+=6 CP
# of Events less than 5=4 CP (*40 CP)
* If your highest level PC is less than 40 CP, then you will be advanced to 40 CP, otherwise you will gain 4 CP.
Character level 11+
# of Events 24+=5 CP
# of Events 16+=4 CP
# of Events 5+=3 CP
