This is Rowan of Messina. Earlier this evening in Two Rivers a skeleton approached the town carrying in his hands a note...I transcribed it exactly as it reads.

To the Aggressors of Two Rivers,

It is with a heavy heart that this decision is made. Thought we are at war with Arcadia it was hoped that here, past the end of civilization, so far away from the pressures from your misguided leaders, that diplomacy could succeed. Unfortunately events from the pas few months have shown our hopes shattered, and the losses sustained without retaliation have been in vain.

One month ago, there was a n assault not against us, but against an innocent, helpless barbarian, which we were attempting to protect. With this action the cowardice of your nature has been exposed to the light.

Due to these heinous events, we have no choice but to pursue a path which shall lead to the capture or destruction of all installations held by your government. May you realize your mistake and seek redemption on the other side of the Hearthstone.

~The Order of the Blood

__________________________________________

Aside from the few rambling words I thought it rather interesting that as of today war has been declared against us...

My initial reaction to this letter was one of laughter to be honest. My intention towards the Order of the Blood has been one of strict and uncompromising hostility since the loss of my sister.

However some may find this cute and quite redundant allow me to say a few words of caution. Administrator Quillian has ordered a possible evacuation of Two Rivers.

I urge strongly precautions to be taken. Travel in groups when in the area. Especially south of the river.

A few words on the accusations made in the letter from the Order of the Blood. Those of the area are well aware of the recent diplomacy between the triad of the barbarians, Two Rivers, and the Order of the Blood. If you wish to know more on that topic please send all letters to my messenger CelesPrye@aol.com as she shall bring it to me directly. I, otherwise will not waste what little ink I currently have.

I was present when a barbarian ventured into our town with three skeletons surrounding her. It did in fact appear to be types of defenders for her. A few adventurers got over anxious and started to kill the skeletons with pretty much no warning. A new adventurer with the skill archery became confused as to the current happening and struck the barbarian two times. He was immediately stopped, yanked to the side and...had some 'explaining' forced upon him.

However, the damage is done. The Order rises from the South. Be on your guard and I invite you to join me when the snow hits lightly the top of the trees.

While this letter doesn't sound like anything of real import probably to many, you should all understand that so far the abominations have not actively persued the destruction of any of the peoples of the Two Rivers area and that has given you a false sense of security. These creatures increase their numbers very quickly and they can over-run an area easily. They are powerful both through the fighting skills and magic of their more intelligent members and through sheer numbers and the lack of need for food, rest or water. These creatures can take over areas where there are many defenders, much less the more lightly populated areas that the Two Rivers area boasts. They have been left pretty much free to build up their numbers and their supplies. We are not going to be dealing with some paltry force of poorly organized and poorly equiped rabble.

It is going to be very important that everyone in this area take this threat seriously and start organizing defenses and also assualts on the Order of the Blood. If you think that just defending yourselves where you live is going to be sufficient, you are very very wrong. They will take every opportunity to increase their already sizeable advantage of numbers.

Standard tactics which must be employeed in battling these creatures are:
1. Do not leave ANY bodies laying around. That includes destroying old burial sites as well as fresh bodies. If bones and flesh are left in the ground then they are vital resources for building more of our enemies.
2. Take every opportunity to destroy the small groups of abominations you encounter. These small groups are easier to take on than the large and then require that the intelligent abominations expend more resources to rebuild their number. And if we have done our job well and left them no corpses to build from then we can slowly eat away at their numbers.
3. Do not spend time conversing with the abominations. They are experts at manipulation. They have had thousands of years to rewrite their history to make them appear other than they are. If you have any doubts that these creatures are evil, contact myself or other members of the Heart who have dealt with them for long, members of the Tribe of the Moon or of Reign Fire. We can all tell you stories that may make the true nature of these creatures more clear.
4. Do not take un-necessary risks. If a group of abominations is too large for you to handle, don't feel like you MUST fight them. If you are out-numbered and they wish to converse with you, speak....just be careful that you give NO information to them as even things that may seem harmless to you may give them an advantage over your neighbors.

Take this threat seriously and prepare for war.
